Arrivals

All items brought into the country must be declared to a Biosecurity officer on your arrival card. These items can be a potential carrier of pest and diseases, weeds, weed seeds which pose a threat to our environment.

If you have any animal or plant item with you or packed in your luggage, you must declare it on your passenger arrival card.

All equipment must be clean and free from soil and other contaminants. These equipment include:

  • Hiking
  • Tents
  • Camping,
  • Vet supplies,
  • Gardening
  • Sporting equipment and footwear
  • Golf,
  • Fishing and water activity
  • Vet supplies

Departures

The Biosecurity Service also inspects products for export to ensure they are pest and disease free.

Notice:

Please inform the Biosecurity Service if you intend to take any foods, crafts or animals on your departure from our paradise.

There are restrictions on items entering New Zealand, Australia and the US.
