Smoke-Free Airport

The Rarotonga International Airport is a smoke-free airport, in line with the Cook Islands Tobacco Product Control Act 2007.

You will not be able to smoke anywhere in the departure, transit or arrival areas.

All types of smoking is only permitted in the designated area in the car park.

Mosquitoes spread diseases such as Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya.

Zika – Microcephaly Notice

Pregnant Women should consider not travelling to areas where Zika virus transmission is ongoing.

Zika can be passed on to unborn baby, it may also cause microcephaly – a birth defect where the baby’s head and brain is smaller than normal.

Pregnant women who have visited the affected areas must contact a doctor
